The St. Marys Submarine Museum is filled with fascinating displays from actual submarines, including a working periscope. With Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base nearby, St. Marys is a must-see stop for all
Naval aficionados. The annual
SubVets convention is held in St. Marys during the first  week in November.

First Presbyterian Church was built in 1808 and is the second oldest church in Georgia. Other churches dating from the 1800s include Our Lady of the Sea Chapel,  Christ Episcopal, and St. Marys Methodist Chapel.

Shop for antiques, books, kayaking equipment,  and gifts in downtown St. Marys at specialty stores like the Blue Goose, French Quarter, White Pelican, Up the Creek, Grandma's Attic Antiques, Golden Pineapple, and Once Upon a Bookseller.
